Lapataganj

Dearth of knowledge and obliterating politics always made me think what is it? I want to share one of the most famous joke (may be refreshing for few of you).
“A kid asked his father that what the heck is politics. Calmly father replied personifying various aspects of politics. He said that as he is the earner or one with the money he is a capitalist. Kid’s mother is the administrator of money, she is the government. The nanny, she works for the house so kind of working class and his younger baby brother is the future. Kid got an idea but still has to understand the complexity. One night he heard his bro crying, he went and saw baby had severely soiled the diaper. He went to mom’s room she was sleeping. He went looking for nanny, founding the door close he peeked through keyhole and saw his father in bed with nanny. He quietly came back to his room and slept. Next day his father inquired, had he understood what politics is all about. Child naively replied ‘Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep poo.’”
What an irony! I found the similar situation in India, although it is same elsewhere, but I feel it more appropriate in context of India.
I sometime find it very difficult to stand very cheap and plebian comedy shown to us and our family these days. Yet there context is good, but there should be some better way to appreciate the thought. These days I find it very interesting to watch a daily soap on SAB-Tv Lapataganj. Casting is good, people seems to fit their character (unlike most of the shows), acting is decent, and most importantly thought process is displayed in an excellent way. Not like Koda’s wealth which has no end. Light comedy with no plebian jokes or two headed potato. Unlike most of the shows which hints you when to laugh, it gives you your own time to understand and appreciate the humor. It definitely has an ending, and ending is true only when it you have an-addon in your life (very similar to firefox addons, when installation is finished it has something new).
Please don’t consider me some critic or anything, I really liked this show and the way it shows social problems/responsibilities/ ethics/ solutions and loads of other things it is very few of the TV shows I love to watch.
