Last Decade (Part 1 of 3 )

I was 12 years old when this decade began.I clearly remember it because it was the year I was shifted to new branch of my school and with that came new friends, new colleagues and new teachers. I still remember my first slap on my face, I still remember very beautiful girl sitting next to me, I still remember the most jolly laugh I had ever seen and may ever see, but most importantly I remember the love of my life because it was the first time after three years sharing the same class we were now in different sections.
But with that came lot of other incidents which had elicited reading habit in me. There were atleast thousands of important rather very important incidents happened in my life. But I want to write from my view about 8 of those incidents:
FOUNTAINHEAD
2006 , I was in college 2nd year packed my bag for my first air-trip, or precisely first foreign trip. I was calm, shy, a bit introvert. I heard the news that very soon government is bring bill in the parliament to introduce new reservation system in India, OBC 27%. I want to know more because of my very intriguing nature i googled a lot. Various reservation system reasons, needs, creamy layer etc etc etc. The only thing came to my mind that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, who had his statue at every nook and corner, had definitely fingered the nation building theme of the nation.
Reservation is good rather very good depending upon the economic condition of the family and the way the person had made progress in the life, but reservation on the basis of surname is definitely nor right. I have seen people giving up their last name just to make sure they come into reservation, i have witnessed people killing others because they were given reservation but he was not, it was in my college days only when Rajasthan was burnt alive just because of reservation. Just to make sure these people who had, SORRY, whose ancestors had lived in abject poverty, never treated properly etc etc, I still believe in one thing, One Reservation per family. If you are applying for reservation provide in details what your father is doing, what your grand-father did and were they beneficiary of any of these reservation policy. This is absolutely necessary in order to reduce this percentage which I believe that is absolutely necessary for the democracy and stability to live freely in India. If I ever leave this country, looking for brighter opportunities in foreign Reservation will definitely top the list of reasons, and I believe that it is for all the brain-drain India is suffering.
TOPLESS TRIUMPH
I always had a fight with my brother for players and there was a division of players. Sourav Ganguly was mine old chap. It was 2002 the year my bro went to IIT and seriously it was the first time I heard of IIT. I visited couple of time to my bro rooms and I sill remember some of the drawing which I later realized that it was TA-101 the course in which I sucked.
Anyway Ganguly was a new captain winning matches and loosing it was kind of captaincy with no taste still. Azhar had left a very bitter taste to most of Indians, Ganguly apart from captaining had to get that taste off the bud. England won a test in India and Flintoff the biggie took off his shirt and danced. Dada the tiger must got the thorn in his heart. It was final of Natwest and I remember watching it. Probability of England winning the final was high, but India clinched away the match and here I saw Ganguly taking his shirt off in the Lords and portraying the confidence, displaying the maverick nature of Indian cricket which I believe will forever be relinquished by everyone.
AH, TAJ!
I joined Oracle with very little thoughts and I am still not sure whether the series of decision which I made before joining were correct or not. I was living with completely new species of IIT K junta. It was 26 November 2008 I was seeing the news and it flashed somewhere terrorist attack on Mumbai. I said wow another blow on RAW, which I still want to join. I watched the news and there was some clarity after couple of hours that there is an attack on Taj Hotel and couple of more places but it was already late so I slept. Next day morning the news continued, now I worried and watching news I realized death of some important police personnel etc and Hotel Taj the symbol of mumbai was being attacked. After 4 odd days things were sorted out and now I was sure that this time they were serious, very serious in order to prove the point. "I will continuously amputate you unless you figure out how to get my hand blow off." I still fear the fearful diplomacy for the sensitive issues is the weakest link in Indian politics and it definitely need revocation.
